This unique dome home construction method accomplishes several things all at once.
1. Easier to build second floor built above ten standard height 9ft. perimeter stud walls.
2. Lower Cost----The cost 2x4 Basic EconOdome frame kit is 25% less than 2x6 construction.
3. More Space Inside----Lifting the dome 9 feet creates another complete floor level,
and, assembling the EconOdome kit upon the second floor makes things easy to reach.
4. Easier to build lower perimeter walls----The lower perimeter walls can be built on-site,
    mostly with standard length pre-cut 9 foot studs from a local lumberyard.

This 30'diameter 2-story dome home is being built on an economical Mesa Base foundation
and will have radiant floor heating. The upper part of the dome is clad with DensDeck Prime
Roof Guard and rigid insulation panels over 1/2" plywood. The lower perimeter will be covered with a
one inch layer of insulation board and durable Hardipanel composite cement sheet siding.
DensDeck Prime Roof Guard is also used on the roofs of commercial and industrial buildings.
The entire surface is sealed using a proven waterproofing process and products from www.spec-chem.com
